Know this place

The borders of the winter became smooth, and the spring began to start along the Blue Ridge. Now it is time to reach the first travel of the season to reach the favorite Monia stream. This is a warm expectation and vigilance. Travel. I am very happy to return to that creek, you know like an old friend, but what you do for winter. The leaves and branches are wrapped in the tail of the new moon -shaped swimming pool. Last winter, the runoff stalls of runoff deployment -Is the runoff this winter enough to clear it? The dying iron fir has provided a cover for the big catfish in the wide glass pool. It finally fell, and it inevitably changed the rhythm of life in the swimming pool, catfish and fishingmen? In the winter runoff, how many beer cans and barbecue racks are carried from the winter runoff in the backyard?

When my fishing companion returned to the catfish waters we had been disturbed for many years, we easily and comfortable entered a language and reference framework we experienced in this place. During the river of the trees, when we paved some lunch we paved from the fishing vest, we used that language to tell the morning fishing, and after we broke up again, our plan was looking for the afternoon incubation surface.

"Take a good rainbow on the fork, from the fork, where the left pedal is there, and the ancient without sycamore along the bank."

"Just there, the swimming pool shot next to the pine hook that was washed there a year ago, it was the Great Edi under the show. The guy was so fast that he left before he could link ","

"It must be holding three or four large brown brown in the pocket between these two currents. At that time, the deer waded to us. You know this place."

We did it. We know this place. From this profound and local chat, we fully understand each other. We nodded and agreed and confirmed each other’s reports alone. "Yes, of course -this is a good swimming pool -decorated with all hanging casting, but there are some good fish there." Yes, we know this place.

Fisheries often mention that such as "family waters", those rivers and streams are often fishing, so that we know that they have become part of our physical body, so that our blood seems to be mixed with waters. When the knees are in these waters and cast it on a rising catfish, our independent self is no longer the case. We are no longer included in our skin boundary, we can surpass it. If we pay attention and do it right, if we are a little lucky, then the gap between the domestication and the wild river will be closed, and one creature absorbs another creature.

This is a close relationship. In the frequent flooding words around us, the intimacy may be what we are seeking. To understand a place in depth, cherish it so fully, so that it becomes so completely intertwined with your life pulse, so that it is impossible to imagine life. This will cause deep sadness. The intimate relationship in the waters. Like our beloved spouse or lover, we know where we will encounter rough currents, and where the water will open to the water to enter a smooth and calm swimming pool. We know that if we caress this place with patience and wisdom, it will respond in a pleasant explosion. We know that position is so excited, but so sensitive, if we dare, we will only allow it to touch it once. We know when to speak with elaborate words and when do you not speak. With this intimate relationship, whether it is a lover or a river, the happiness of love is continuous with our own well -being. Never be fouled, abused or regarded as a natural condition -still respected, respected, cultivated, and loved.

In addition to this metaphor, some fishermen will say that they are about fish. It may be like this. However, for many of us, wearing rubber pants, shaking on our heads, rivers and the sticks on the fish in it brought us to simple capture pounds and inches above. Fishing is a promulgation of this intimate relationship. It can be connected with people other than temporary to transcend the map to speak with the wilderness with mother tongue.

In essence, fishing is a narrative-of course a novel, but if we make it, present it and explain it well, please let the simulation credible-if we tell the good story of the river, it is a good good story Story, that is a story waiting to hear, a fish will rise. With each pulling force of the lines closer to the fish, we lack the wildness of shrinkage until we are patient and more luck, and we get a close relationship with the contact with the wild fish in our hands.

James Keefe is a role in my novels. Sometimes tend to peel off light yellow and fish in the naked Brook catfish, and recite the above words when doing so. What needs to be clear is that I am not saying that naked fishing is a way to realize this intimate relationship I said. The water of catfish is very cold. At least, the prospects of the naked body of the catfish and other fishermen are at least disturbing. Then, it may scare fish. However, a word of Keefe has mastered the logic of Whitman. His practice is the practice of the intimate relationship with the river and catfish. Without him, he cannot survive. Without this, he must be sure Will be angry.

French Broad & Holston River Smallmouth, Tennessee

France, Tennessee, France and Holston River

There is a cruel potential momentum in flying fishing.Throughout the southeast and medium and Atlantic Ocean, fishermen are using exquisite tools and technologies related to surface catfish, they are adjusting them to pursue warm water fish.

Although the flying of sea bass and foam is nothing new, in the past ten years, the evolution of this larger and more powerful species has accelerated. It is driven by the fishingman and seeks more internal organs than the little rainbow on the mountains and streams.

From the rivers’ striped bass to musk, black bass and carp, flies are developing new methods to capture the most powerful fish of freshwater. This is seven destinations that can fight with fish that breaks the heart and fishing rods.

The James River is one of the few rivers that support fish wild musk population.About ten years ago, Virginia gradually decreased from stockings, and Muskellunge’s Muskellunge was booming.

The guide Matt Miles eagerly pointed out that most of the fish (35 to 42 inches) they captured were produced on the upper part of James. He said that the monster’s 50 -inch may be from the incubation ground, but they still stroll around and prepare to give the fishermen’s adrenaline for their lives.

Between Tiemen and Linkburg, Virginia, James is considered to be musk water over 80 miles. The relatively shallow swimming pools and shallow beach habitats are very suitable for hunting the largest and most teeth fish with flying rods.

But musk fishing is not suitable for everyone. 8 to 14 inches long ribbons are cast on the sinking line with 10 and 11 rods, which is a exercise. I hope once a whole day and need spiritual perseverance.

Mels said, "Musk fishing is in the right position in the right time." "I can put you in the right position and teach you the right method. When I can’t appropriate. It depends to a large extent on the fish Class behavior and method. "

The musk peak season is from October to mid -March. If the fifty -/50 odds of the strike seem a bit slim, then James is also an excellent small mouth river.

The GreenBrier River is full of 900,000 acres of Monongahela National Forest, which passes through the gorgeous Alleghenies of Eastern West Virginia. It flows for 173 miles without restrictions and quietly exudes some of the region. Small bass fishing.

Jacob OTT is the ancient Greenbrier Resort of Washington, Washington, Washington. choose. He said that the capable fisherman captured 15 to 25 basss during a half -day floating trip, and the trophy fish exceeding 20 inches is absolutely possible. He is the biggest captured bronze back in history. This is a huge 26 -inch, captured by the captured green birds.

Fishing is the best May to October. If the fish raises the head, the wanderer caused by the vortex of the bank will stimulate the violent bomb. If they want to feed the underground surface, the green small mouth slammed the crayfish and bait fish patterns.

GreenBrier also provides incredible access to access. There are countless handmade printing and take -away ships, and two concrete ship tunnels, and bite a buoy is not a problem. Regarding the wading fisheries, 77 miles between the Greenbrid River trail between the 77 -mile state between Cas and Coswa provided walking, and the unparalleled passage of Malaysia or mountain bicycles.

Tennessee Knoxville east, France’s wide and Holston Rivers for the final step in the formation of the convergence and the powerful Tennessee River. Flying fishermen may be familiar with these two rivers in order to provide catfish provided upstream. This low in the system is a factory with small bass.

Bill Stranahan has the Southeast Fisherman Guide, which regards France and Holston as a destination. Low or decreased traffic is desirable for the rear water driven by fishing, and one or the other usually provides the best conditions in a given day. Their approach allows decisions to make the competition time from small mouth water over 60 miles.

The habitat is similar, with a variety of shallow beaches, shallow pebbles and gravel rods. This structure is scattered between long flat water and deep pores. Stranahan said that in all ages, the bug pops up from the bank or digs out of the depth of crayfish or bait fish to produce a large number of villains.

He said: "You will find a lot of fish of 12 to 14 inches, and you will also hit a maximum of 3 or 5 pounds of fish. We get 20 -inch and 22 -inch people from time to time."

From April to October is the golden time of small bite. Later this season, top water movements are the best. Effective fishing, a drifting boat or a canoe, and a sufficient channel to arrange floating objects. There are rods with 6 to 8 weights and floating lines for fishing surfaces and sinking lines.

Since the end of the spring, the striped bass from the Weis Lake in Alabama began the annual spawning migration. They drove about 75 miles upstream of a low -headed dam near the Etoa River near Catsville, Georgia. This was initiated by the impulse of spawning. Egypt was recorded as a summer vacation. Forty -5 miles of stripping dancer throughout Etowah, in the tail water asylum below the lake of Lake Alatina, foraging and feeding.

The boys of Catsville Cottosville Coruste Fishing Company dialed this fisheries. Guide, Garner Reid, spent May in May on the rowing boat in September, passed through the shoal and rock gardens to find one of the biggest stimuli in flying fishing. The river stripping dancer is strong and fierce. Even normal 4 to 10 pounds of fish will bend into a 9 or 10 flying rod. When eating more than 15 pounds or more than 20 pounds, landing requires skills and luck.

Reed said that he hit the bear’s river because it was difficult to say what conditions would bring. He keeps the 7 to 10 rods and prepares everything from the floating line to 300 grains sinking. Customers throw 2 -inch and 3 -inch bait patterns to match the main forage. But sometimes the 5 or 6 -inch ribbon required for the temptation.

It may encounter a stripping dancer throughout the year, but most years are thick in the river in July and August. When the striped bass does not cooperate, it will be interesting to reduce the size and throw the bug pops up for the large spots. The spot bass will easily eat flies from April to October.

The world of flies fishing is shrouded in the wild rainbow catfish in the Saruida River, Colombia, South Carolina.

Most of these fish are driving from 60 miles along the Kang Galley River along the Santee-Cooper between Colombia and Charston. They appeared near Colombia in April. By the beginning of May, they entered Xiasauda, ??which was the cold tail water below the Lake Lake Dam. They spent a summer in a 10 -mile river of cold water.

Jake Howard of Saluda Valley Guides said he stuck his thumb in the hearts of June to August in the strip dance season because they became original and bloody because they sprinkled many fish. He told a large number of stripping dancers to enter the short river, and said that the number of days of 60 -year -old is possible for the fishermen. You can use 10 weight rods and 350 grain sinking lines to lay lines. The weight of the standard fish is between 4 and 8 pounds, and 20 pounds, 30 pounds or even 50 pounds of undressing dances are captured each season.

Daniel Boone National Forest, the Daniel Boone National Forest, southeast of Kentaki State, has a low mountain of 700,000 acres, steep hillside and sandstone. The Cumberland River lasted 17 miles through this solid landscape, and then fell on a large -scale Cumberland on the upper reaches of the Lake Campland.

Troy Humphrey, also known as Troy, said that there is no better adventure than floating along this remote river. The Humphrey Guide is a rare opportunity to fishing on the river under the lake, and the tail of Cumberland, who likes the villain on the river.

The river is sometimes known as the north fork of Camplan County, which has changed its characteristics in the running of its national forest. From the Red Bird Ship Tow in the small town of Williamsburg, Kentucky, it ran flat, then surfaced, and then fell into the sandstone canyon, exuding a wide shallow beach, above the upstream waterfall above. There are some mild white water and a lot of water, which can accommodate a 20 -inch small mouth and spots.

Hankle said that fishing requires the use of 6 -weight rods, pop -up bugs and ribbons to formulate standard river basties tactics. The unique thing is that the riverside camp can be made through the original wilderfill canoe, rafts or kayak, and make riverside camps for excessive efforts. From the end of spring to autumn, the river is the best fishing.

Fifteen years ago, Captain Paul Rose dragged his apartment boat and dragged away the Texas coast. He settled in Piedmont in North Carolina, away from the salt swamps and red drums he loved. But he found a new enthusiasm in the sunny Kata River and Lake between Ashville and North Carolina. Essence

The fishing style of the appearance is very similar to the sight of the bone fish. From the platform on his boat, the rose fisherman looked for carp rooting and feeding pods on transparent horizontal shoes. He found the fish from the raised position and made instructions to the fishing fishermen on the casting deck. With stem flies or nymphs, actors must be the perfection of carp to eat.

Founds of 15 to 60 feet must be accurate because carp is more sticky and water -skious than its salt water. Rose said that many customers hired him to hone his skills before going to Bahamas or keys. They return because the carp is interesting.

Rose said: "Once you get the hook on him, it will be long, powerful, and running and running -once." "They are just not tired."

Fishing from 3 to 20 pounds requires 6 or 7 rods. On a beautiful day, the fishingman can get up to 30 photos on the carp, but the connection is less.

The peak carp season of the Kata River storage pool is from May to September from Lake Norman, Lake James and Lakes in the mountains. August and September are the best stem flies.

Fly Fishing the Space Between Seasons

SpacebetweentheflightseasonWhenIhavetheability,Iliketotransitionbetweentheseasons.Thisisthetimeofthewatersofthemounta

Space between the flight season

When I have the ability, I like to transition between the seasons. This is the time of the waters of the mountains in the east of Tennessee and the West Abarachia Mountains in the west of North Carolina. It provides space for personal reflection and has the opportunity to let go and update. I have learned enough casting to prevent flies from distorting. At least most of the time. Sometimes, they will capture a flooded log, and I will swear to my son. I have a big day online. The adrenaline will pump water. I will fight. I really believe that there is catfish on the other end. When this happens, Noah always laughs. Listening is contagious and interesting. When I was really dramatic, he would do this until his abdomen pain was too much that he couldn’t continue, and then leaned his feet on the chair, hanging from the back of the ship, waiting for his next capture Essence

I have never written articles about flying fishing, which may be because when I am not always patient when I am on the water. The catfish is. They wait, I firmly believe that they plan. Noah can match their patience, so they always have more luck than me. The two -foot catfish lingered in the dark swimming pool. When it jumped, Noah was five years old and bravely insisted on hard fighting. Its beauty was revealed in the cracks of the air. The glittering sunlight passed through the trees and hit the rainbow in the rainbow.

Soon after hearing this story, another guide returned to the same place, linked and verified our claim again. However, in the sense of the old fish, the old fish also has other ideas, and it is free again. As far as we know, it has avoided human hands and is still there today. A typical fishing story, which is why we have established a close connection between us. Max, Noah and I always tell it every year before the new day. Whether we are in wading or in floating trip, it has become the common tradition of our crew.

It didn’t even have an hour. When we drifted from the South Holston River in Tennesi, the outskirts of Bristol, this has become a popular saying on our boat. A good sign, because it means that the fish is biting. Focusing is that they are prevalent. All I can do is to laugh at Noah, knowing that I will hear again soon. He likes to keep scores. The boy did this during the competition: NA, laugh, repeat; just like the proud Pedi Ped now, call our boat from the water. In that pleasant distraction, the other bites, I slowly listened to the dual play of the boy and the happy P. I smirked my face, and I resulsed.

I am glad that our staff are together again. A year later, you are familiar with welcome. Life will never stop; there is no pause button, I think of the bite of each catfish to talk to our conversation on the boat. Max would ask his girlfriend to marry him a few days later, and I believe he would reflect when he tied the May flies. When I want my wife to marry me, I am his age and hope I know how to fly fish. I am happy to reflect on a floating journey on the river. Just like I was sure of him, this is the best decision I have ever made, proved to be a smiley boy sitting behind the boat. I hope that this time has passed the benefits and can only last longer.

Noah has successfully hooked four catfish. He was convinced that he beaten his old man, and he changed the role from the fisherman to the designated "fish holder" of our crew. He proudly announced that Max and my quickly nodded to approve the title. , Especially for a eight -year -old child, he is now scattered by the turkey sandwiches hidden in Max. I thank you the greatest thanks. He will be a good father one day.

On my casting arm, it was the red depiction mark of the sun rolled up from the sleeve in the morning. I was glad to be burned and sweated, but my face was emitted by the six miles of water that we had already covered. At the moment of these seasons spending on fishing space, I re -connected with the natural flow, reminding people to life may not be foreseeable. That’s why I am here today.

The pleasure of small rapids was suddenly replaced by a static glass. The largest drop anchor. We have a listener. From the bottom of the cool tree, a peasant sat on a stool to rest and looked at us attentively. His old pickup stopped a few feet away. On the other hand, the hidden shy mother deer will be cautious in the heat at noon. As the sun rises to the higher head, I know that our time on the river is over.

You immediately know when to make a perfect actor lineup. The duration of splitting is a distant experience. You can observe yourself from a distance. Maybe standing patiently on the river bank of the farmer’s shadow tree, because the lines are hardly rolled on the water to the place you want to where you want Essence You always want to take a bite, but the popularity brought by the actor’s lineup can provide your own fun, because at that moment, you really let go.

I heard his praise and grateful, but don’t turn around, knowing that he must watch a fish attentive when we are silent now. Everything is calm and bright. From the place where I stood, it kept balanced, and the water exposed huge boulders, and it seemed that it could easily cut our small boat into half. We float above the overwhelming fortress.

Max’s command broke the tranquility. The fish has only a few inches of muscles above the water, and all muscles are ready to fight. When we spar, I cut my fingers online and pulled it closer. The catfish immediately respected. Max re -prepares the net while Noah scan the water of the fish. In the end, I raised it enough so that the flies can be removed. It is now imprisoned, which is full of vitality, a vibrant spirit, with clear, healthy eyes and rainbow. Carefully, I introduced our valuable opponents to Noah. In his hands, the catfish calmed down when he whispered a friendly word, and then gently released the water disappeared to the fish to the water. Water. After the behavior was completed, it was time to move with the river again.

With the eyes of the landing, Max asked me if I wanted to stop and then called it, but I was satisfied with the final gain. I feel patient again, restore, and my practice is completed. Noah hung his feet on the side of the ship again, staring at the fixed fixed rear flow at the place where we started. I realized that this has always been his advantage throughout our journey, and he has been letting go. Just like every catfish released today, the boy’s movement with the river was consistent, and I finally joined him.

When we drove home, sunset, even for a few hours, I still felt the river below me, and my legs and legs were not completely adjusted. The cycling of Piemont, which crosses the north Carolina, fell asleep. Tonight, after I took him to the room upstairs, I would drink from the Red Dicksi Cup, and then review the past day. I prefer cups. After fishing, it is more suitable for this occasion. Next year, I suspect that I can take my son upstairs. He must walk. After all, the season will change, and soon, the two of us will toast with those cups on another day of South Holston.
